Now in Version 1.1 TrakProDJ is by far the most complete Midi DJ Control system available for iOS devices and boasts a hyper responsive, well designed user interface. Also, the app now delivers Total Integration with bi-directional midi communication. What you see is what you get with all TrakProDJ buttons and control states perfectly linked to Traktor via Coremidi Networking technology, with speeds of around 1-3ms.
Mixing on TrakProDJ is a absolute joy, as the touch surface and application forge a unique connection between the DJ and the Traktor software.

Browse tracks in your library using the jogwheel, then once your track is loaded into memory, the TrakProDJ Deck gives you all the tools necessary to truly feel in control. Quickly move from one end of the track to the other with ease using the seek position control. Then, fine tune the position of the cue with the high resolution jogwheel just like the old vinyl days. Feel free to scratch in beats or vocals. The TrakProDJ deck has been designed for maximum usability. All the necessary Pitch/Tempo, Play, Cue, CUP, and Sync controls are within range for quick decisions. We have also included 4 assignable hotkeys for each deck which can be used for loops or any other assignable control in Traktor. *hotkeys are only available in the iPad version. |

Good Mixer design is like good User Interface design, you have to maximise space for the important actions. The TrakProDJ Mixer panel is a fine example of this. Track faders are fat and easy to grasp, ultra responsive for even the most hardy scratch mixer. The crossfader, just below is great to both slow and fast mixes. On the iPhone version the crossfader can also be found on the FX page for hot swapping FX mixes. FX assignment is taken care of in the mixer sections swell. Also included are both monitor volume, mix, and selection controls to keep you on top of the mix. *New in v1.1 fully reactive VU Meters for each track.

The art of DJing is often in the clever use of EQ. The correct selection and use can make or break a mix. Each of the three EQ bands have their own rotary knob and killswitch. The killswitches are remarkably useful for dramatic changes and transitions. Also included is the all purpose Filter for warping filtering effects in the mix. On the iPhone edition we have included the crossfader close as to assist in the precise use of EQ in the mix phase.

Native Instruments Traktor Pro comes with an incredible array of built effects that can manipulated in real time in the mix. For this reason, the TrakProDJ control system has put an emphasis on fast and instant access to these effects. Alongside the rotary knobs for increasing/decreasing parameters, we have included the killswitches for ultra fast in-out effect use. Drop in the phaser for one beat, then quickly switch to one of the flange effects, while manipulating the feedback. Anything is possible and quick to achieve with the TrakProDJ touch control system.

Reactor meets Turntables!
I'm not in the DJ realm any more, but this almost makes me want to get back in. Beautiful design and the usefulness is unarguable.
